Ministry Opportunity at East Side Baptist Church

The Opportunity

East Side Baptist Church is seeking a Pastor or Ministry Resident of Worship and Youth to help our church glorify God by being and making disciples of Jesus Christ. This role may be structured as a full-time pastoral position or as a paid ministry residency/internship, depending on the candidate’s experience, calling, and stage of ministry development. The resident track is designed especially for a man seeking to pursue a Master of Divinity degree from Faith Bible Seminary in Lafayette, with schedule flexibility around classes and academic responsibilities. Additional opportunities include a pathway to certification in biblical counseling with ACBC and ordination through the church.  Our current worship and youth pastor is leaving to serve as a lead pastor at another church. We are thankful for the way God has used and prepared him, and his transition creates a meaningful opportunity for the next leader to build on healthy ministry foundations while strengthening worship, youth discipleship, and volunteer development for the future.

East Side is a warm, steady, Word-centered church family in Crawfordsville, Indiana. We are committed to expositional preaching, congregational worship, meaningful membership, biblical counseling, growth groups, missions, outreach, and every-member ministry. We want every member to gather for worship, grow in a group, give of themselves in service, and go with the gospel.

What We Need

• A worship leader who can plan biblically thoughtful services, lead congregational singing, develop musicians and vocalists, coordinate with technology volunteers, and help the church sing with theological depth and joyful reverence.
• A youth leader who can teach Scripture faithfully, disciple middle school and high school students, equip parents, develop youth leaders, and help students see themselves as part of the whole church.
• A ministry builder who will strengthen people, teams, and systems for long-term disciple-making.

Who Might Fit

This could be a strong fit for a man who loves Christ, loves the church, loves students, and is musically capable, biblically grounded, relationally warm, and eager to grow. We are open to someone newer in ministry who is humble, teachable, flexible, willing to receive feedback, and ready to serve in a healthy local church context. The right candidate will value both theological depth and relational warmth, both excellence and humility, both structure and flexibility.
