1 Timothy describes the church as the household of God. Last week, we talked about order in the church and God’s complementary design for men and women. This week, we’ll continue that theme as we turn to 1 Timothy 3:1–13 and ask: What kind of leaders does the church need? Paul doesn’t just give us a list of qualifications. He describes what gospel-shaped faithfulness looks like in the character, convictions, homes, and history of those who lead.
